Listowel, Ont – The Listowel Cyclones kicked off their playoff campaign with a hard-fought battle against the London Nationals in Game 1 of the Quarter Finals on Sunday night at the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena. Despite a strong effort, the Cyclones fell short, dropping a 6-4 decision to the visiting Nationals.
The game saw plenty of action as both teams came out with intensity, trading chances early. The Nationals capitalized on key opportunities to edge ahead, while the Cyclones kept pressing with a determined offensive push. Though Listowel found the back of the net four times, it wasn’t enough to overcome London’s attack.
With the loss, the Cyclones now turn their focus to Game 2, which takes place on Tuesday, March 19th, in London at the Western Fairgrounds. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM. Fans unable to make the trip can still follow the action live on CKNX 920 AM or stream the game via Flo-Hockey.
The series returns to Listowel for Game 3 on Thursday, March 21st, at the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena, with puck drop at 7:30 PM.
