Listowel Cyclones Weekly Update: Playoff Push Continues!

Listowel, Ont- The Listowel Cyclones are heating up at the right time, with the playoffs just around the corner. With two dominant wins over the St. Thomas Stars and a tough battle against the Stratford Warriors, the team remains focused on securing home-ice advantage.

Recent Games:

 February 28th: The Cyclones delivered a statement win at home, defeating the St. Thomas Stars 7-1 in front of a packed crowd at the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena. The evening was extra special as the team debuted their Paddyfest Jersey, generously donated by the Listowel Legion.

 March 3rd: A hard-fought road game saw the Cyclones fall to the Stratford Warriors 5-3. Despite the loss, the team showed resilience and kept pushing until the final buzzer.

 March 5th: Still on the road, the Cyclones bounced back in dominant fashion, shutting out the St. Thomas Stars 7-0. Chris O’Flaherty netted his 20th goal of the season, while Ethan Kowatsch was perfect between the pipes, stopping all 24 shots for the shutout.

Final Regular Season Home Game – March 7th!

The Cyclones will close out the regular season at home on Friday, March 7th, with a huge matchup against the Stratford Warriors. It’s the Battle of Perth County, and with playoff positioning on the line, it’s a game you won’t want to miss! Come out to the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena.  Puck drop is at 7:30!

The Cyclones clinched a playoff spot earlier this week, but their final standing is still up in the air. The team can still finish 3rd or 4th in the division, and securing home-ice advantage is the main goal heading into the last games of the season.
