Listowel Cyclones Wrap Up Regular Season, Set for Playoff Battle with London Nationals

Listowel, Ont- The Listowel Cyclones capped off their regular season with a trio of intense matchups, setting the stage for an exciting first-round showdown against the London Nationals in the GOJHL playoffs. The Cyclones are defending there title after winning the 2023-2024 Sutherland Cup!

A Thrilling Finish to the Regular Season
The Cyclones faced their longtime rivals, the Stratford Warriors, on March 7th in front of a home crowd at the Steve Kerr Memorial Arena. In another chapter of the Battle of Perth County, the game was a back-and-forth affair that needed overtime to decide the winner. Stratford managed to secure the 4-3 victory in a thrilling 3-on-3 overtime, but Listowel showed resilience throughout the contest, proving they are a tough opponent heading into the playoffs.

The following night, the Cyclones hit the road to take on the Komoka Kings. Determined to bounce back from their tough loss, Listowel put forth a strong effort and edged out Komoka with a 4-3 victory. It was a hard-fought game that saw the Cyclones capitalize on key scoring opportunities while maintaining a strong defensive presence.

To close out the regular season, Listowel traveled to Strathroy on March 10th and delivered one of their best performances of the year. A dominant offensive display powered them to a 6-3 victory over the Rockets, securing momentum heading into the playoffs.
